Background

Oona was born in a small Wisconsin town. Its here she thrived in a supportive, artistic community and developed a strong sense of self. Always seeking to expand, Oona moved to Argentina and then Taiwan at a young age. It was during these experiences that Oona saw the similarities of humanity under a woven cloth of cultures.

Oona currently lives in Portland where she studies International Development with a dual focus on Latin America and Africa. She enjoys new projects, traveling, and Afro-Cuban dance.

Vision

My work is focused on bringing to light our human similarities while respecting our differences. I see the world healing itself after we open our eyes and hearts to each other, communicate, and listen. No where in my philosophy do I believe conforming to a set culture will get us anywhere, but rather I believe each culture and tradition contributes a lesson to the world that moves us.
